I don't get it when people anthropomorphize cars and other such objects. I emphasised that because of a heated discussion with someone on this very subject.

I'm afraid I shall not be referring to my car as "Fred" or any other name.

The person that accused me of liberalism reads the Daily Mail. I think that explains a lot.

Fred.

Your car is called Fred.

You cannot leave your first car without a name. Especially when it's a fiesta.

On no.4 - because it looks pretty like the Christmas cards....!

On no.6 - Eh?!?!?! The Times seems to always be full of what I'd call 'Conservative' viewpoints. Surely 'liberal' is more The Guardian?

My quick list:
5. PES - For taking up more of my time than any other series of games, and being at the centre of many a social evening over the decade.
4. Guitar hero - For creating a new genre and being instantly playable
3. Wii Sports - For bringing a whole new audience to video games. It's interesting that no matter how good graphics are on a game, this will always get more 'ooohs' and 'aaaahs' from newcomers
2. Resident Evil 4 - For being brilliantly atmospheric and generally brilliant.
1. Mario Galaxy - For being the most enjoyable and creative title I've played this decade. The feeling you get playing this is why I started playing video games 15-20 odd years ago.

1. Heartbeats - Jose Gonzalez
2. The Luckiest - Ben Folds
3. Sea of Love - Cat Power
4. Together - Andy Clockwise
5. Anyone Else But You - The Moldy Peaches

Not sure how often I've re-set my play count though, so that may not actually be the top 5 for the whole of 2009!

My 5 most played, though not definitely within this year alone are as follows:
5: Pound for the Sound by Capdown
4: Sympathy by Billy Talent
3: Sic Transit Gloria... Glory Fades by Brand New
2: This Suffering by Billy Talent
1: Voices of Violence by Billy Talent
This makes me look like some kind of crazy Billy Talent fanboy but I just listened to the album a lot when I bought it and then I've listened to my favourite tracks a few more times taking them up the list. They are very good though. "People who say they don't like emo haven't listened to Billy Talent" Tom Elswood
