Top Ten Tuesday: Places to spend a bank holiday

May 5, 2009 at 9:43 am | In Top ten Tuesday | 1 Comment

In my life, I’ve enjoyed many a bank holiday. Unfortunately Edinburgh has a stupid bank holiday system, so I haven’t been able to enjoy them so much of late. Anyhoo, here’s a list of some good places to spend a bank holiday Monday. Enjoy!

1. The Giant’s Causeway

2. Portrush

3. Bangor (NI)

4. Armagh

5. St Andrew’s

6. Derry/Londonderry

7. Portaferry or just the Ards peninsula in general

8. Stormont grounds, Belfast

9. Donaghadee/Millisle

10. Ulster Folk & Transport Museum, Cultra (near Holywood)

Have you got any favourites?
